Fraters and Sorors,

We have begun a new era as the Grand Temple of Het Heret of the Collegium Spiritu Sancti, a Golden Dawn Society. There have been many changes from when we first set out on this path of transitioning into a truly virtual lodge. We have seen members depart as well as welcomed new initiates. We have held classes and performed initiations. Throughout it all, we have carried the Light of the Divine within us and through its guidance grown both as an Order and as knowledgeable individual magicians.

Now, we have experienced our first Autumnal Equinox period for our Order under my watch as Imperator, and now headed towards the autumn-to-spring half of the year. Magically, as in nature, this is a time of transforming introspection in doing the internal work into active growth through ACTION. 

It is our time to advance forward confidently from where we have been, and embracing the experience of where we are going. In doing the internal work as an Order, our work includes continuing to develop our curriculum, group ritual work and fraternal bonds as fellow brothers and sisters of the Light That Never Fails. We must continue working together to preserve this wonderful Western Mysteries Tradition that we study so ardently. At the same time, we also must continue to look for better ways to grow and evolve together as a magical Order.

As individual magicians, you must always remember that you are ever evolving in your learning process, seeking that deeper and deeper connection that taps the Divine within you. As we come to those stumbling points that we inevitably all face, we must remember that we follow and perceive a sacred path towards that Inner Light. The commitments we make to ourselves, to the Universe and to the Divine are a two-way street. As you move towards that Light, it also moves towards you. All you need to do is to persist:  keep working on nurturing Love and Truth through Knowledge. That Gnosis is the key to perfecting your personal alchemy.

Remember that we are all students, regardless of grade. From Neophyte to Adept and beyond, we must always learn in order to grow. So, too, with this Order. We are fortunate to have still standing our Grand Temple of Het Heret and an established magical Order that sets the mark for global astral initiations. We perform the  Autumnal Equinox ceremony to strengthen our magical egregore, empower our magical work and propagate our goals in offering to initiate, teach and heal in Light.

Today, we reaffirm those goals through our commitment to each other. We express balance in ritual as an expression of the balance within ourselves and, in finding that balance we prepare to renew our journey on this next leg of this magical path with our Order.

As we move forward in this Autumnal Equinox period, let us each re-commit to our own growth and learning, to the bonds of Fraternity between each other and the pursuit of our studies with renewed vigor and energy.
